The 2023 Annual General Meeting of the ARIN-CARIB network, hosted by the Cayman Islands Presidency, took place on July 27th and 28th at the Kimpton Seafire Resort in George Town, Grand Cayman.

Structured on the theme ‘The Asset Recovery Cycle’, the AGM brought members of the network and other regional and international asset recovery practitioners together to facilitate two days of learning, sharing of best practices and discussion on pertinent asset recovery matters. Drawn from across the region and the United Kingdom, presenters shared their knowledge and experience and engaged the membership in robust discussion on critical topics including Asset Tracing and Fraud, Asset Freezing, Confiscation and Civil Recovery. Approximately ninety practitioners representing the ARIN-CARIB members and Observers, Cayman Islands law enforcement agencies, US Marshals office and US Department of Homeland Security were in attendance.

In his opening speech, Minister of Financial Services and Commerce of the Cayman Islands, the Honorable André Ebanks, emphasized the importance of ARIN-CARIB to the regional AML framework, and pledged his jurisdiction’s ongoing support to the work of the network.
